Ide dasar inilah yang menjadi pondasi teknologi <b data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"194\"><i data-path-to-node=\"3\" data-index-in-node=\"194\">Carbon Capture and Storage<\/i> (CCS)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"4\">Berbeda dengan CCU yang mendaur ulang emisi, CCS punya satu tujuan pasti: mengunci karbon rapat-rapat di perut bumi agar tidak merusak atmosfer. Pertanyaannya, seberapa aman proses ini secara operasional?<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"5\">Trik Termodinamika: Mengubah Gas Menjadi Cairan Penurut<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6\">Menyuntikkan gas ke dalam tanah tidak sesederhana meniup balon. Di sinilah ilmu termodinamika dan mekanika fluida berperan krusial.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">Sebelum diinjeksi, gas CO2 hasil tangkapan dari pabrik harus dikompresi dengan tekanan dan suhu yang sangat tinggi hingga mencapai fase <i data-path-to-node=\"7\" data-index-in-node=\"136\">supercritical<\/i>. Dalam wujud superkritis ini, CO2 memiliki sifat ganda yang unik: padat layaknya cairan (sehingga tidak memakan banyak ruang), tetapi bisa mengalir cepat menyusup ke celah batuan layaknya gas.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"8\">Mengunci Karbon Secara Permanen<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\">Tempat penyimpanan karbon ini bukanlah gua kosong yang berongga. Karbon superkritis ini disuntikkan ke kedalaman ribuan meter, masuk ke dalam formasi batuan berpori (seperti spons keras) atau ke dalam sumur minyak dan gas tua yang sudah kering.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"10\">Secara standar operasional, lokasi penyimpanan harus memiliki lapisan <i data-path-to-node=\"10\" data-index-in-node=\"70\">caprock<\/i> (batuan penutup) yang kedap air di bagian atasnya. Lapisan inilah yang menjadi segel alami untuk memastikan CO2 terperangkap selamanya dan tidak bocor kembali ke permukaan.<\/p>\n<h3 data-path-to-node=\"11\">Apakah Ini Solusi yang Aman?<\/h3>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12\">Proyek injeksi gas bertekanan tinggi tentu punya risiko, seperti potensi kebocoran atau pergeseran struktur tanah. Oleh karena itu, standar keselamatan operasional untuk fasilitas CCS sangatlah ketat.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"13\">Area penyimpanan akan terus dipantau menggunakan sensor seismik dan alat pengukur tekanan sumur selama puluhan tahun.
