Proses pengulangan monomer ini membentuk struktur molekuler yang unik, memberikan sifat khusus pada polimer. Pemahaman tentang polimer penting dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk industri, kedokteran, dan lingkungan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Struktur Polimer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Polimer dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi dua tipe utama: polimer alami dan sintetis. Polimer alami, seperti protein dan selulosa, ditemukan dalam makhluk hidup. Sebaliknya, polimer sintetis, seperti polietilena dan polipropilena, dibuat melalui proses kimia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Struktur dasar polimer terdiri dari monomer yang saling terhubung membentuk rantai panjang. Ada polimer linier, bercabang, dan jaringan, tergantung pada bagaimana monomer saling terkait.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sifat Polimer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sifat polimer dipengaruhi oleh struktur dan ikatan antar rantai molekul. Polimer dapat memiliki sifat elastis, kaku, atau fleksibel tergantung pada jenis ikatan kimia dan struktur molekuler. Beberapa polimer dapat menjadi konduktor listrik atau isolator, sementara yang lain memiliki ketahanan kimia yang tinggi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proses Pembentukan Polimer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proses pembentukan polimer disebut polimerisasi. Terdapat dua jenis polimerisasi utama: polimerisasi adisi dan kondensasi. Polimer adisi terjadi ketika monomer menambahkan diri ke dalam rantai polimer, sedangkan polimer kondensasi melibatkan pembentukan rantai oleh eliminasi senyawa kecil seperti air.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aplikasi Polimer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Polimer memiliki berbagai aplikasi di berbagai industri.
